Sales Innovation Expo 2018; Another Incredible Show!
So you’ve probably heard, that London’s ExCeL saw the return of the coveted Sales Innovation Expo on the 21st & 22nd March. Europe’s leading sales exhibition once again proved hugely successful - welcoming the emerging strategies, techniques, tools and innovations that are helping the world’s leading sales professionals optimise the performance of their sales teams.
The 2018 show achieved its highest EVER recorded attendance and saw a constant stream of visitors flooding through the doors on both days of the event! Among the 3,398 attendees - 87% of whom have said they will be attending next year - were yet another collection of some of the world’s most noteworthy professionals in the sales industry! This year, these included Head of Commercial Sales EMEA APAC for Guinness World Records; National Sales Manager for Sky Business; and Head of Global Sales Enablement for BT Global Services. Of course, they were all on a mission to find the latest training techniques, technologies and ideas to help their company achieve unprecedented levels of business growth… a mission that we’re hearing was easily completed!
For the first time ever there were over 200 diverse exhibitors present at the event, much to the delight and satisfaction of the 82% of sales leaders who attended for the very purpose of meeting new suppliers. From the most advanced human training techniques, to the newest pipe-drive systems; hundreds of the latest advancements designed to help any sales professional secure higher levels of revenue could all be found under one roof!
We’re well known for priding ourselves on the quality of our visitors, and with 65% of attendees holding the position of budget decision maker within their organisation, it should come as no surprise that more sellers were connected to more buyers at the 2018 event than at any other previous SIE show! The result? 74% of exhibitors have already re-booked for next year!

As a renowned platform providing visitors with the perfect opportunity to expand their knowledge, as well as discover the newest innovations, the show also put on a world-class schedule of 95 educationally-rich seminars, presented by a selection of the sector’s most noteworthy sales experts.
Among the keynote lineup was the Owner of the Daily Sales (and sales meme king) Daniel Disney. As usual his talk drew a phenomenal crowd; hundreds of listeners spilled out into the walkways, scribbling furiously on notepads and hanging onto every scrap of advice on how to use social media to sell! Director of Varda Kreuz Training Group, SIE regular and all-round nice guy, Chris Murray, was another standout speaker. Again the areas surrounding the theatre were packed, with those seeking a detailed insight into five point prospecting.
2018’s Sales Innovation Expo also played host to a number of free, interactive masterclasses, with some of the industry’s most established businesses, thought leaders and influencers. These masterclasses enabled visitors to apply innovative solutions to real-world scenarios, one popular example being Cognism’s “Outbound Made Smart Masterclass”. Those who were lucky enough to reserve a place for one of these sessions left brimming with actionable information on how to build a successful outbound funnel, as well as the smartest ways to plan account-based marketing and build efficient outbound pipelines.
As usual, the Sales Innovation Awards saw a handful of the sector’s leading sales visionaries witness first-hand the pioneering companies, that have made an everlasting mark on the sales world this year. The expert panel of judges, which included the likes of the Commercial Director of Reed; Head of Sales and Training for The Point Co; and Salesman and Head Trainer of Sandler Training, had the chance to see the technologies, coaching techniques and lead generation strategies revolutionising the ever-competitive sales industry! They deemed (drum roll please) eSales Hub, Kluster and Sales Gym 360 the rightful winners of the three awards up for grabs at this year’s event.
After the success of the 2018 edition of the Sales Innovation Expo, next year’s show is already on set to be even bigger than ever before, if you can believe it! Expect more sales experts, suppliers, and interactive features than you could possibly imagine… you ain’t seen nothing yet!
